About KC

KC Karr is a certified book coach and proud member of the original Author Accelerator Book Coaches cohort. She has mentored for the WriteMentor and TeenPit programs and seen many clients take their manuscript from draft to agents to publication.

As a book coach, she delivers a combination of honest feedback and tough love that will help an author face their fears and get it done. She considers the whole author, providing technical skill advancement, accountability, emotional support, and creative guidance. Her #1 priority is seeing authors succeed.

KC lives for “aha” moments when the coaching clicks and an author takes their writing from good to great. Her favorite parts of coaching are digging deep into characters and discovering their backstories and motivations, untangling tricky plots and pacing issues, and brainstorming with authors when something just isn’t working. She coaches (and reads) across many genres, from middle grade through adult. She can’t wait to help you write your best book.

When she’s not writing or devouring books, KC enjoys camping, travel, and spending time with her boyfriend, son, and their menagerie of pets.
